NC Welcomes Day (X_Bluesky)

Register Now for North Carolina Welcomes Advocacy Day

Join your fellow North Carolinians on April 3rd, 2025 for North Carolina Welcomes Advocacy Day. This is an important opportunity to share with state legislators the importance of North Carolina being a welcoming state, including showcasing all the untapped talent that exists within the refugee and immigrant community.

Constituents and other participants will gather at the John Chavis Memorial Community Center before heading out to meet with their elected officials and urge their support for inclusive policies, particularly around language access as well as workforce development and licensures for out-of-jurisdiction teachers.

World Relief Durham, Church World Service, the Refugee Advocacy Lab, The Voices of Change in the Triangle, Integration Working Group and other partner organizations are encouraging North Carolinians, especially refugee and immigrant leaders, resettlement staff, faith leaders, teachers, and education personnel, and individuals who support newcomers, to participate and highlight how communities across the state are coming together to advocate for more welcoming and inclusive policies.

๐Ÿ“… Thursday, April 3rd @ 9:30 am

๐Ÿ“We will be meeting at John Chavis Memorial Park Community Center 505 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd
Raleigh, NC 27601

We welcome you, your family, and your friends to join us for this event. Register by Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025! Encourage your neighbors to join you by sharing on social media using this social media toolkit. Additional details will be provided upon registration.
