Latest Update: 02/03/2025
Hi Robert,
Due to recent federal actions halting all government-funded activities for initial refugee resettlement, World Relief Sacramento is facing an unprecedented crisis. Without the necessary funds to sustain staffing and provide critical case management services—including housing, food, and transportation assistance for newly arrived families—we are forced to make difficult decisions.
As a result, we must cancel our FURNITURE DONATION DAY on Saturday, February 8, and we are unable to accept additional furniture or household donations at this time. This decision was not made lightly and does not reflect a lack of need for such donations, but rather the need for us to immediately re-direct limited staffing resources to the most critical needs in light of these recent changes.
Please know that your donations have been an incredible blessing, and we remain committed to finding solutions to resume accepting furniture and household donations to support families' essential living needs. We deeply appreciate your continued support as we navigate this challenging time. We will keep you updated as we continue collaborating with churches and the community to bridge this urgent gap.
Thank you for your support, your care, and your prayers for our newest neighbors in this time.
